Acrylic Display Album

This was a "mini-album" I taught one of my youth girlies how to make for her parents as a gift.

I got the acrylic stand from Ikea... it was just one of those that comes with plastic sleeves to insert your 4x6 photos... but instead of inserting photos we just covered those sleeves with paper and scrapped on them :)! (I stole the idea from my amazing sister!)

The other great thing about the sleeves being covered is you could still hide papers in the middle (where you were originally supposed to put your 4x6) to journal on... which we didn't do this time.

Yes in an "album" like this one your photos are not covered or protected, but it makes embellishing so much fun... you just know people are going to want to touch :)....

Take a look...
This is what the pages look like when you flip one up to "open" the album...
Oh and the paper used here was all Close to My Heart! I just LOVE their coordinating packs... it take the guess-work out of having solid colors to match your prints.

It was so much fun to plan the different size photos for these "layouts". One of my favorites was the tall photo of the kids all in the tree :). It's not often I get to use photos that covers the entire length of a 12x12 layout, actually THIS LAYOUT was my first!
Again, here are some more Prima crystals! They are so quick and easy to embellish with!
MMM, and this was my favorite papered paper out of the entire pack! SOOO cute. They even have an acrylic stamp set that matches :).
Love the buttons at the centers.

Of coarse it DOES help that this whole album was full of some one else's adorable kids!!!... that's always fun to work with!!!

What an awesome album! I love that paper pack from Close to My Heart. I have the recipe cards in the same pattern.
