Mmmm - New Pictures

Last week I was rearranging my blog...

as you can see I now have two sidebars which is actually reminding me of my very first blog design - which I am now realizing I don't have a picture of here on my blog.

So here it is. My first blog design EVER = the last time I had two sidebars :)...

But that really wasn't what I wanted to show you. I wanted to show you that I added new pictures into the frames on my blog header.

Here are my old pictures...

I was gonna wait for baby to come till I changed these photos, but I was already doing so much fiddling that I just couldn't stop! There were just enough frames to add the 4th baby in there (even if he's only in the form of a bump right now :).

It feels so nice to have newer photos up! My friend Alicia inspired me to update a little as I saw that she did on her blog as well not too long ago.

What do you think guys?

• Do you like the new "extra" sidebar?
• Do you like the new white swirlys?
• Do you like the wider format which lets me use photos that are 30 pixels larger in my posts?

It took me a week or so, but I think I'm happy :)

What I'm doing Today...

On this beautiful Spring Saturday I am sitting at home and having a great time doing it! :)

I hung out with one of my friends last night and FINALLY got inspired to pick sizes for the pictures my sister took for my living room wall! But we were also talking about how easy it is to change blog designs if you know how to use Photoshop... and she DOES! Look what she made last night! It's not quite how she wants it yet, but I think it's a GREAT first try!...

Oh and this is how I am choosing picture sizes :)

I am putting up papers on my wall to see what would be good and what would be bad - you can vote if you'd like :)...

These are 12x12's - I didn't like them, they were too small and lonely...

12x18's - too close to an 11x17 for me, it looks like I have papers on the wall, lol...

16x20's - these were my favorite, though when I get the real photos up I might spread them out more :)...

20x20's - to big and kinda overwhelming...

This is what the 20x20's looked like with the "photos" up - this is how I could tell I liked the 16x20's better because you could see the cropping on the photos themselves from here...

I am going to get these printed on some kinda cool foam material as opposed to canvas to save some money. I like the no frame canvas look, but I need it on a budget! :) I am so excited!!!

(Pay no attention to the mess. It's a work in progress. I still need to unpack some boxes. I will scoot over my lamp table to the left and the green chair - that I hope to get reupholstered - and then my kid's new homeschooling table/area will be to the right of that! ;)

To apply it to your blog please follow the directions below...

Out with the Old!

Yep :) Time for a change...

After designing my sister's photography blog I have been admiring her framed topper image and have been wanting a busier title of my own. I have also been like blah - lol - about my busy pink sides... the color, the swirls, All the hearts! I really needed something new!

It is very different for me to have such an elaborate topper, but I really do love it!

I am also excited to say that I will have a couple more free blog designs for you in the near future... here is which ones they will be...

I designed a new blog background for my friend Natalie :o) If you would like to see what it looks like live, click HERE. At first I was going to use a very distressed design with a crown of thorns, but it ended up too bold and "Spiderman" looking - lol - that's why I love you Nat!!!

Yes - I changed the background to my blog again :) I'm feeling festive with Valentine's Day coming up...

I think what really got me thinking about it was that I was transferring a blog post over that had a pic of a Valentine's Day card on it :) Then I decided to make this! (If it shows a really small picture back there, try refreshing.)

Here I am :o)

I am glad you made it! I hope you find your way around easily. I designed a new blog background to welcome you in for the holidays. You know me, I cannot just change blog homes and use a default design that someone else might have :o) I named this one the Loving Snowman - Snowball Masterpiece, lol.

I know, I know - let's see if I can get this one down before Spring springs on me! :o)

A Long Update!

Where have I been since I haven't been here?

I know you have all missed me... and I REALLY REALLY thank you for all your prayers... and the kind, uplifting, loving and encouraging comments since I have been "gone".... you have definitely made this tough time less tough.

I especially loved this comment, lol...

... yes, I know Jill it took me another week to get a post up, but thank you for that kick in the rump, I love you.
Now... to answer some of your questions...
Yes, I am feeling a bit better. I have some crazy, sporadic ups and downs. Today is a little more hard than yesterday because I had to talk with a mean woman on the phone and my crying nephew is over. Yesterday was a pretty good up. I got (some) housework done, I showered (yes, that's how bad it is) and I made myself get some exercise in (30 minutes on my bike).... look at my face!

• No, I am not getting help (yet). My sister just called a counselor for me that she knows to get me an appointment... she even offered to meet me there to watch my kids (I love her!)
  
• Yes, there is some things you could pray for specifically (thank you). I need to get in God's word more, pray more, learn to dwell on His goodness instead of everything that is wrong with me... and regarding me little ones... that I would have patience, that they would want to be obedient, and that I wouldn't provoke them to anger, and that God would use this situation of mine for their good... I would HATE for this to mess them up in any way!

Now, what have I been up to? Not much...
Obviously I did a little redesign of my blog (with a ton of help from the wonderful woman who designed the original).
This is what the theme looked like at first...

... I put the theme's images in photoshop and altered them to look how I have them now...

Little did I know some of the changes I made were going to be too much for me. I left on comment on Trish's blog regarding the problems I was having and she was more than willing to help... I thought - praise God because the reason I was changing my theme was to get me interested in my blog again, but I was not interested in the problems I was having with it! Yes, this made me not want to post for a while also...
So I hid over at...

• 5 minutes 4 mom (who also has a new look by the way) posting my tackles as their resident tackler
  • I tackled my fridge, my hallway closet, parts of my garage, the donation of my car, the hatred of my house, my dishes, and my laundry!!!
• Yahoo messenger chatting with my Pastor's wife who has been trying to encourage me when I don't run from her :o(... I even made my very first avatar...

• the Haute Artist Gallery where I will soon be featured as one of their Design Team Members!!! Their kits are not out yet, but they did announce their August Debut! Keep an eye out, and don't worry, you can be sure I will be sharing more on them in the future.
  
• Here is one of the layouts I shared just recently... it matches the sketch I shared a while back. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out, especially since (yes) I actually journaled on it already!
• Journaling reads: (Top Left) Jesus says He will never leave us nor forsake us and I praise Him for that truth. I thank Him for seeing you when we could not! When you snuck out of the house and ran into the street He saw you! He saved you by having the car stop in front of you. He loves you beyond comprehension my boy and we do too! (Mid Right) Still living in God's grace... nine days later you choked! Mommy had to give you the baby heimlech maneuver. Another reason to always be ready - loving Jesus with our whole hearts.

• Facebook! - I know - I am not using it to replace my blog in any way, shape or form. But it has definitely been encouraging to find 30+ of my real life friends to chat with in my current slump.

Now did I do anything off my computer you ask... yes, I went to the boardwalk with my woman's ministry friends, I went to a water park with a friend and all our kids, I went to my SIL's house for the 4th of July, to the beach for my birthday, to our church's first park outreach of the summer, and to a crop!!!!
