We Tackled it!!!

This tackle was on my list a month ago, but it was something I could not do by myself. Once again I had some wonderful helpers... thank you Christine for being out of town so I could "watch" your children, lol!

They helped me move my daughter's bunkbed from one side of the room to the other.(Yes I took pictures while my daughter was napping, she's so good.)

They helped me move a couch from where this kitchen is to my room where the crib used to be...
Yes my son is 15 months old and he was still in our room... this was a very needed tackle.
Then I took the crib apart to get it out the door, I also moved my bike on it's trainer into my room in front of the couch, it was where the crib is now...
I also have been tackling daily chores like the dishes, the laundry, vacuuming the couches and floors. There are still a couple "bigger" things I would like to do like clean the fishtank and get my son's next size of clothes out of the garage and organized into his dresser, I would also like to get the clothes that don't fit my kids packed up and into the garage. They are on the top bunk of my daughter's bed at the moment. Oh, and now that I got my room back I had a little inspiration to get things pretty again, so I hung a candle holder my friend gave me from PartyLite, I have been waiting for the perfect spot for it... well I think I found it...
It's amazing how inspired a little rearranging makes you feel huh?

Friday for Friends

Hello Everybody I have been so blessed by blogging with you all that I want to have a little giveaway as a thank you.

It will be a $30 gift certificate for Joyous Creations and all you have to do is comment on this blog post to enter. You can even spread the word for others to comment if you think they would like to win as well.

The winner will be announced on any Friday of my choice :o)

I also wanted to let you all know that you will not see me around as often since we will be disconnecting the internet here at my home. But I will be able to get on every once in a while at friends houses, or at crops, or my friend's scrapbook studio, so I will still be "here".

Love you all and God bless!

Jewels!

This is a close-up on an altered paint can I made.  I love paint cans, flowers, ribbon and this paper.

But I've been loving these Jewels more! They are so yummy and so easy to use! The jewel that is at the center of the flower came in a kit from the dollar store and the romance one is a sticker by Me & My Big Ideas.
They are probably my favorite for choice for rhinestone words, but there are plenty of other companies that make jewels for scrapbooking such as Heidi Swapp, Queen & Co, Imaginisce, Top Line Creations, EK Successs and more... I even buy plain little packs at Michaels.
MMMMM!!!

Wordless Wednesday

My baby's first picture!
This is from my doctor's appointment on Monday. I was so happy to see him/her in there growing happily. Now it is much easier not to worry about anything!
Also today is my birthday and I had such an awesome day! A good friend of mine took me out all day...in the morning I had a facial (my first ever), we had a great lunch together (BBQ chicken pizza and a C-Monster Odwalla). After that we went to get my hair cut, then we went to the mall where I got a make-over at Bare Escentuals. By the time I got home my hubby was already there waiting (he got of work early) so I opened some gifts from family then we went out, bought me some shoes and went out to dinner at Acapulco Restaurant.

Tackle it Tuesday

I am tackling morning sickness (all day and night sickness for me).

Surprise! Are you excited? I am prego again! Hubby and I are very happy. We just had our first doctor appointment yesterday and are happy to say all is well. I am 10 weeks along with a due date of January 31st!

Yesterday was my mommy's birthday so I surprised her with the good news then.

Today I went over to their house and celebrated both her birthday and mine since mine is tomorrow :o)

I would like to get all of these things done in two weeks since I am realizing my hubby will be gone tonight, we will be gone to a picnic and family's house tomorrow for the 4th, and Thursday we are leaving to go camping! Plus Monday I have a doctor's appointment, Tuesday I am going to go see my mommy for her birthday, and Wednesday is my birthday! I think I'll break my weeks up...

Today

  1. Go shopping for food.
  2. Make deviled eggs for tomorrow.

This week

  1. Laundry picked up, cleaned, folded and put away!
  2. Pack for camping by Thursday.
  3. Vacuum
  4. Finish Dishes
  5. Clean Kitchen

Next week

  1. Clean up camping mess.
  2. Move my sons crib out of my room into his sister's.
  3. Move the couch out of his new room into mine.

I'll add more later and let you know how I'm doing... thanks for keeping me accountable ladies :o)

OH!! I almost forgot to say I am also tackling the POTTY this week! My daughter is officially potty training! Pray for me to have patience, grace and kindness in this endeavor :o)

Yes, I have a plan...

I know that when my kids someday leave me to have lives all their own (sniffle, sniffle) I don't want to be giving them a million scrapbook albums of their childhood. So I came up with a plan :o)

I've had this plan for a while but I am finally starting to work some of it out.

Each child of mine will have two albums. The first will cover birth to one year and the second will be from one year to eighteen years. The birth/baby album will be no problem, but in order to have 1 to 18 years in one album I will only be able to dedicate one or two layouts to each year.

My daughter's baby album is all done except for the last page that I am designing paper and a timeline of her milestones for. And I have been working on my son's baby album as you have seen from the layouts I sometimes share.

Since I have pretty much only been scrapping my son I miss scrapping my daughter, so I decided to go thru the pictures of her whole first year and pick which special ones will be for the first and second layouts. I even made a slideshow for you :o) And someday soon I will share the layouts with you. I have all the picture sizes planned and ready to print.

Of coarse this is not ALL I will be scrapping of my children. I will still have an ongoing family album for my husband and I, and when we are gone they can fight over their favorite layouts to divide them amongst themselves.
