A Finished Project

I decided to crochet a couple of scarfs for some family members for Christmas. These are the first ones I have ever made and I am very pleased with how they turned out.

It took me a while to figure out how thick to make them at first, but once I figured that out it only took me about an hour per scarf.

I know some of you are probably thinking, "What happened to the blanket she started making in September?" Well I have not given up on it, I just wanted to get these done first... plus I had to buy more yarn for the blanket before I could move on... which I have done, so you will see an update on that later :o)

Those scarves are great! I have been wanting to try that. Did you buy a pattern or instructions? If so, what did you follow? Thanks. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I need to take a lesson from you! Maybe I’ll bring my crochet hooks to the next crop!

Okay, I made a scarf for my hubby 25 years ago when we were dating. Let me assure you, it looked NOTHING like this. He still has it (or I should say it’s in the closet), it’s uneven, odd looking shape is quite entertaining to say the least! You cease to amaze me with your diverse skills–mine on the other hand are not quite as adept but certainly good for a laugh even many years later!

Great job! My little hot pad started out as a scarf, but I’m not sure it’s the best yarn for that… so
I changed plans.

Those scarves look great! I tried to crochet but couldn’t get past the first chain without messing up.
