Keepin' it Real!

A confession from this mommy blogger! Today I will be keepin' it real. I had the fullest intentions of posting a product review that will now have to wait since I was just visiting a couple of my favorite blogs and ran into Tasra's!!!!

As you may or may not know I was a dancer throughout most of my Jr. High and High School years and can easily swoon (as Joshie says) over dance videos!...

... WELL!! Tasra had a YouTube video up for So You Think You Can Dance (which I've never seen because I don't watch tv) but I ended up sitting here watching video after video on YouTube laughing out loud and reminiscing over a wonderful past-time! Here is one of my favorites...

YES ladies! Even I lack planning, focus, balance, and boundaries... I exaggerate all too often and I make MISTAKES ALL THE TIME!

WAIT! Don't these sound like things we could have problems with in our Scrapbooking as well!!! Yep... and they are also the very things my friend Tasra shares about in her book Real Woman Scrap. It's amazing how she shows us different things we can lack in life, then she shows us the parallel in Scrapbooking! She has a fantastic gift for encouragement and shares practical ways to get us out of our real life crappy (excuse my language) and Scrappy predicaments.

Scrappin' Sunday

Hey ladies joining me from the Sunday Scrappin' Hub, nice to see you here.

Well my TA-DAs, hum? I got some of my to-do's done from last week...

• I cleaned up my scrap space AGAIN (pics above)... I feel like I just did this!
• I entered one of my orders for National Scrapbook Day (which I am totally excited about because from the product I ordered they decided to match that amount in promotional products for giveaways!)
• I also downloaded some new fonts from Allie Hoopes to play with...
• and a made a rolling "email me button" with my families pics for my blog (featuring a couple of those fonts).

• Do you think a custom button like that would be a good giveaway for the upcoming party?

My TO-DO for this week will be... to put together my Rusty Pickle tutorial for the Scrapbooking Blog Party. I think that'll be it since I have B.Boy's birthday party coming up next weekend.

Now for this week's Bonus Question: What kind of projects do you do the most often?

Lately I have had a lot of altered projects, if you check my Scrappin' Sunday page you will see that.

Friday for Friends

Today I would like to announce a little giveaway I am having to celebrate my 1 year Blogoversary. Just some stats on my first year... I had 275 comments total from 174 different people.And something cool I found on Rae's blog... a blogoversary counter...

Also reminiscing on life this time last year... I won my first page layout contest, I was working through the loss of a baby, I was taking the Library of Memories class from Big Picture Scrapbooking, I purchased my MacBook Pro, and I joined Tackle it Tuesday for the first time :o)

And now one year later God has blessed me with a newborn daughter (AWESOME)!!! But He also blessed me with a new flatscreen computer monitor for my husband (you see I screwed up on the budget around Christmastime when our car needed repairs done and I couldn't spoil my hubby like I usually do for Christmas, but God prompted some friends of ours gave us $300 cash!!! I still haven't told my husband who it came from because I pray that their reward will be in heaven and not here on earth (Matthew 6:19-21). God has been so good to us, and you through this blog are part of that blessing, thank you all!

Happy Thanksgiving

Well I had a full and blessed day with my family today.  We went over to my uncle's house for I nice Thanksgiving meal.  I was blessed because my uncle asked me to pray, but then I was frustrated with myself when my husband said I prayed too much like a kid, well it doesn't help that I'm a mommy and I was telling my daughter to close her eyes because we were gonna pray.... then mommy mode kicked in and I prayed as if I was leading children in prayer, now I just hope that God was glorified today regardless of me, and I am just thankful prayer even happened in that household (something I have never seen, and I am 25). Maybe I am just too sensitive pregnant, but I was also put on the spot a bit when my uncle choose me over any of the other Christians there, I just say praise God.

Yes I am still here :o) I know, I know, no good blogging award to someone who hasn't blogged in 10 days! Sorry ladies, I've just been feelin' a little under the weather here lately.
